For a ship with only 10 guns, Intrepid, at one time, had the amazing total of 5 dufferent gun calibres. "A" 4.7" was retained, "B" was replaced by a twin 57mm 6pdr., originally designed to defend the coast against MTB's but carried here to attack submarines, with a split hedgehod attached to it. Four single 20mm AA were carried and a single 12pdr AA replaced the after bank of tubes. Lastly, a 4" AA replaced the "X" 4.7" gun, and DC's replaced the "Y" gun. Ammunition supply and logistics must have been a nightmare for the crew and quartermasters. ( 10 different types of weapon. ) © Andrew Arthur.

General repeats of the "G" class, the new angled bridge fronts were added in all but, curiously, the flotilla leader retained the old boxy bridge.
